Anyone had experience w/ eHydron AutoTrust? Thinking of using their escrow service for a classic car purchase, but curious about the process. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Especially payment & feedback!

I used eHydron AutoTrust a few months back. The initial setup was smooth. Verified funds quickly. Didn't have any major hiccups during the transaction, but was a lil worried about a delivery delay, but it arrived in the end...

My experience wasn't gr8. Paid for car through escrow. The engine wasn't what the seller described. Contacted eHydron AutoTrust. They helped somewhat, but took too long to resolve, and I ended up losing some money. Would not recommend. I had previous good experience with the service, so might be worth it to try, but make sure to inspect the car 1st, and make sure the contract is clear, I even have a friend inspector

Hey GearHead_77, I used eHydron AutoTrust. Really good overall. I was buying a vintage Shelby. Documentation was a nightmare, but eHydron handled everything. Make sure you REALLY read the fine print, tho. Also, use an indepent inspector, I found several issues with the car & I had to make the seller reduce the price. As a mechanic myself, I always recommend escrow, especially for cars. I've personally inspected a few cars that went through eHydron AutoTrust. Always a good experience on my side. The cars are usually as described, or better (sometimes!). Remember to get inspection, no matter what. And make sure to read the escrow terms VERY carefully.

I agree with MechanicMike. Escrow is the way to go. I had a bad exprience with another provider -- slow communication. The fees were confusing. Luckily eHydron AutoTrust, saved the transaction. Still, be patient. Stuff takes *time*.

I've used them twice now. Both transactions successful. However, the first time, the seller's car was not exactly as desribed... not even close. eHydron AutoTrust helped me resolve the issue, again, time is key. Be patient. Do your own diligence as well. Never a bad idea to do your own research even when using these services. I'd probs use them again tho'.

As a grease monkey, I've seen my share of car deals go south. Using escrow eases the process. The quality will always vary based on the car and vendor. I had to contact them a couple of times and the phone agents where not the best at describing issues, but the end the case was closed. I have nothing more to say.

I didn't entirely understood how the trnasfer of title would work. I raised this issue to support. They were very good at explaining the terms. So all good in the end. Maybe make the process more clear?
